About the destination

Cefalù is three things at once: a glorious sandy beach, a perfectly preserved medieval fishing harbour, and a cathedral so architecturally extraordinary that it ranks among the top Norman buildings in the world. The famous mosaic of Christ Pantocrator in the apse dates to the 12th century and is so gold and so large that it seems to illuminate the entire church from within. The Rocca above the town — an ancient Greek sanctuary later fortified by the Normans — rewards the climb with views along the entire Tyrrhenian coast.
